Commission

Price:

I provide 2 types of commission – Colored and Inking – with 2 different price range.

  • Colored Commission Price:

Headshot/Icon: $35

Halfbody: $55

Fullbody: $85

Fullbody Character design: $150

  • Inking Commission Price:

Headshot: $25

Halfbody: $45

Fullbody: $65

 

The price included 1 character drawn and simple background (colored with pattern). Add-up character will cost more 90% of the price. 
Background drawing cost $20-$40.

  • Process:

​

  1. Inquiry: Please email me with a general idea of what kind of commission you are looking for (i.e full body, number of characters, colour, background,…)
     

  2. Acceptance: I will give you an estimate of the price based on my current price list. After that I want 50% of the value of the commission as a deposit to start working on your commission. The down payment is non-refundable after the concept has been approved and I have begun work on the piece at the coloring stage (see below), so please be certain you wish to commit to the commission. Please seen my cancellation policy below for further details.

    Please not that I retain the right to refuse any commission as I deem fit.

     

  3. Consultation: Please email me with the full details of piece, including references. Please keep in mind that consultations are an ongoing process as the commission begin to take form.      
     

  4. Sketch: Once I have created a rough sketch of the concept, I will send it the commissioner for approval. You can make changes or adjustments to the commission at this stage. After the commissioner approved the sketch, the commissioner must send out the rest of the payment.
     

  5. Line: Once the sketch is done I’ll start on the line part. You can still make changes or adjustments at this stage but please note that I won’t accept big changes (i.e poses, costume,…). At this stage the 50% deposit becomes non-refundable.
     

  6. Coloring//Inking: Once the line has been approved, I’ll begin working towards completing the commission. I’ll advise you by email once I am ready to begin the painting stage. I won’t start work at this stage until you confirm that I may do so. After I receive your confirmation I will begin to work, the 50% deposit becomes non-refundable.

    I will provide you email updates of significant progress for your approval.

    At this stage, I will accept one minor change (include small details on a small portion of the image, such as earrings or a simple necklace). After the minor change, you may request additional reasonable minor changes, I’ll cost from $5 to $10. These changes must be paid upfront before I will make the requested changes.

    Please note that changes to the concept of the piece at this stage will be impossible.
     

  7. Finishing Touches: At this stage the commission will be mostly completed, save for some polishing and finishing touches. Polish and finishing touches refer to visual effects such as glow, lens flare, etc. At this stage I will not be accepting changes to the concept of the piece or minor details.

  • Time frame:

​

The time frame of commission depends greatly on my work load and the nature of the commission, but I always keep commissioners updated on progress and on any unforeseeable circumstances that may cause delays. Generally, personal commissions are completed anywhere between 2 weeks to 1 month, depending on the complexity of the piece. Commercial commission, depending on the needs of the the client, usually take around 2 months to complete.

Please note that my response time for emails will vary depending on my work load and circumstances. I will try to respond within 48 hours, however, I cannot guarantee a response time. Please do not expect an immediate response. I will get back to you as soon as I can. Please do not send multiple emails within a short time frame. One long email is preferred over multiple emails, as it is easier to keep track of information and respond accordingly.

  • Payment:
     

All payment must be sent via PayPal. I ask that commissioner please send a down payment of 50% once the commission has been accepted. Please remember that the down payment is non-refundable once I begin work at the coloring/inking stage.

​

The rest to the payment must be paid after the sketch stage.

​

Once the commission is done, you will received the completed high resolution JPEG or PNG file via email or google drive.

  • Cancellation Policy:
     

You may cancel your commission at any time and for any reason. If I have begun work at the coloring/inking stage or after, you will received a high resolution JPEG of the commission at the point of cancellation.

Please note, however, once I begun work on the commission after the sketch has been approved, the deposit become non-refundable. Before I begin work at the line and coloring/inking stage, I will remind you of this by email so that you have the chance to request a refund. I will not begin working at the line and coloring/inking stage until you provide confirmation by email that I may do so. Once I begin work. The 50% deposit become non-refundable.

  • Commercial Use:

All personal commissions are intended for personal use only, and are not to be reproduced or used for any commercial purposes, including advertising and sales. Please remember that any activity that promotes or generates a revenue is considered commercial activity.

If you wish to gain commercial rights to a commissioned piece, you must pay the commercial price for your commission.
 

  • Right granted:
    Please note that I retain all rights to the commissioned art. I will use your commission to self-promote on my social network, portfolio, etc.
